A Vital, Growing Organization
In 1975, a handful of nurses involved in a Department of Health and Human Services' research project -- the Nursing Faculty Research Development in the Midwest (NFRDM), planted the seeds that would grow into today's premier nursing research organization -- the Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS).
Today, with more than 1,300 members, MNRS has moved to the forefront of promoting, disseminating and utilizing nursing research throughout the Midwest, profoundly influencing the enormous growth in quality and quantity of nursing research for more than 20 years.
