MNRS/ANF Research Grant

Midwest Nursing Research Society/ANF Research Grant

MNRS and ANF will provide $7,500 in funding to a beginner or experienced nurse researcher to conduct a study that contributes toward the advancement of nursing science and the enhancement of patient care. The award is open to all areas of nursing. A full listing of the eligibility criteria can be found on the downloadable ANF grants application and guidelines booklet on the ANF Web site. The ANF/MNRS Grant is restricted to MNRS members only.

Valmi D. Sousa, PhD, APRN, BC of University of Kansas Medical Center for his research titled, "
“An Instrument to Measure Perception of Risk Factors for Type 2 Diabetes".

2007
Adrjoke B. Ayoola of Michigan State University her research titled “Timing of Pregnancy Recognition as a Predictor of Prenatal Care Initiation and Birth Outcomes” and

Cynthia Schmidt of Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville for her research titled "Parental Involvement with Adolescents' Type 1 Diabetes Care Management: Perceptions of Parents".

2006
Peggy Kerr, of the University of Iowa for her research titled “Risk Factors Associated with Patient Outcomes of Older Adults”.
