MNRS Student Research Scholars’ Award The Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS) is pleased to announce MNRS Student Research Scholars’ Awards. Each award is $500 a piece. The purpose of these awards is to encourage MNRS student members to present their research that advances nursing science and practice. Awards are offered in the areas of Graduate Research, International Travel, and Undergraduate Research. Applications for each area are available for download. Funds are available to poster presenters that have been accepted as a result of the MNRS Student Call for Posters. Research being presented may be quantitative or qualitative, and may be on any topic relevant to the nursing profession in the presenter’s country. The award recipients will be recognized during the MNRS Award Ceremony at the Annual Conference. Deadline The deadline for receipt of application materials is January 22, 2010. Applications need to be submitted following receipt of an official presentation acceptance letter from MNRS. Eligibility Requirements 1. Applicants must be current MNRS members in good standing. 2. Accepted abstract and planning to attend the conference; 3. After the conference, recipients will be contacted to complete an evaluation of how their goals were met; and 4. Work must be accomplished while in a student program. An MNRS Committee will review the applications. Recommendations for funding are made to the Board of Directors and they make the final decisions as to the award recipients. Application1. Completed Application Form; 2. List two goals for attending the 2010 MNRS Annual Research Conference; 3. Limit of no more than one page of how the project fits into the research trajectory; 4.
