MNRS/CANS Dissertation Research Grant

The Midwest Nursing Research Society in conjunction with the Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science (CANS) is pleased to offer three Dissertation Research Grants of $2,500 each. The purpose of the dissertation grant is to encourage dissertation research that advances nursing science and practice. Funds are available for quantitative and qualitative research on any topic relevant to nursing science. Applicants must be members of both MNRS and CANS .

Proposals must be uploaded online by the close of business day December 1, 2010. When more than one investigator is listed, the first individual named is the MNRS point of contact. The first investigator will assume responsibility for the conduct of the research. No additional information will be accepted after the proposal has been received except for formal notification of IRB approval.

The proposal/applications are reviewed by the MNRS Grant Review Committee. The policies and procedures are made by the MNRS Grant Review Committee. Recommendation for funding is made to the MNRS Board of Directors. No proposals will be returned to the grant applicant.

Dissertation grants are awarded at the MNRS Annual Conference.
