Improving the quality of nursing research for more than 30 years.

In 1975, a handful of nurses gathered to work on a research project — the Nursing Faculty Research Development in the Midwest — for the Department of Health and Human Services. As the nurses collaborated, they discussed the benefits of having an organization dedicated specifically to nursing research. These seeds, with some careful attention and a lot of hard work, grew into the Midwest Nursing Research Society. Now, almost 35 years later, MNRS is 1,300 members strong and has become the nation’s premier nursing research organization.
